Tosten (the younger) Hagen

Tosten Hagen was born on May 20, 1884, making him four years younger than Grandpa Hagen. He and his wife Tina, lived on the Hagen farm by Elbow Lake. Laverne Hagen, his son, lived on the farm with his mother after his father's death. The reason he was referred to Tosten the younger is that he had an older brother also named Tosten. Tina died in 1978, just a few days short of her 100th birthday. Laverne is still living in Ashby and is probably the last of the Hagen cousins. Tosten and Tina had 9 children and Laverne was the yougest and he was born in 1920. I remember that Laverne was well looked after by his five sisters. The Hagen farm is next to a lake and Laverne sold it in recent years to hunters.
