Lewis

I am a little sketchy on the details of this photo. I do not know the exact year of thos photo. From what I understand my dad was twisting one of the tines on the cultivator trying to fix something and it sprung out of the pipe he was using and knocked out a few teeth. On the plus side, he now has a golden smile.

He really was lucky on that one that he did not poke his eye out! [Like all our mothers use to say! HA!] I bet he was mighty sore and could not yodle for a while after that!

We were lucky that more accidents didn't happen on the farm. I remember when the dog bit my nose. Great Uncle Louie had a dog that bit a girls nose off! She had to wait until she was 18 before they could do anything for her. It hard to say what they did back then. It probably was a rubber nose!

Andrew, I remember that day! I can hardly remember what Lewis looked like (that he had that much hair)but I remember all of the blood. Mom shooed Lanette and I out of the utility room. I just remember a bit of chaos before they left for town, I think straight to the dentist! It must be around 1970 or so but that is just a guess.
