Crosby Storm Pics

Just a couple more pictures that Lea took in Crosby. The first one is during the first storm that produced all of the tornadoes. The second picture is actually a tail from the first storm that seemed to make a u-turn and come back down and bit us in the back after it had passed northeast into Canada.

WOW! That is some funnel cloud! Did Clark send it in as it has such a perfect formation with the small tail still embedded it might be of interest to someone!
I had those heavy popcorn balls over my house one day 2 summers ago and took pictures to send to Fargo weather and they said they had never seen them so large...it felt they would touch the tree tops! PRetty scarey yet so interesting it is hard to go inside and ignore them!! I have a storey far too long to tell here but my son now lives in Sioux Falls S Dak and they get alot of tornados. Anyway, his first summer there he was filming the storm and you see it coming right at them and things flying through the air and his voice saying something about, Do you think that is a tornado? Nope the other guy says until the shingles 2 houses away go flying off and then the camera goes bouncing off as they run for cover and you see things flying past them...ha! Silly but they had never seen one and were a little too close for comfort...actually should put it on funniest videos as they could win!

I remember visiting the Lawrence/Bernice Hagen farm, and scurrying into the basement when storm clouds appeared. We don't have anything like this in Baltimore, at least, not usually, though our condo building was hit by lightening in May and had to be evacuated and "cleared" as safe by 3 fire trucks.

These pictures really look like a bad batch of brew. I agree, if Mom was standing outside with Clark she was sucked into that glossed over look bunch...definitely. Beautiful pictures, but glad I didn't have to witness first hand. I need my sleep at night.
